Welcome to Devon Only

One of England's first designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Devon is a mix of glorious countryside, attractive villages and stunning beaches.

Devon has a strong maritime heritage and in Plymouth you can find out about Drake and Raleigh and enjoy hearing about shipwrecks and smugglers in this exciting city. There are also many heritage centres all over Devon and plenty of National Trust houses to explore. If it's beaches you're looking for then you are spoilt for choice, from the surfing beaches in North Devon such as Croyde or Woolacombe, to the palm lined coastline around Torquay known as the English Riviera!

Dartmoor and Exmoor combine wild coastline and rugged moors and are popular haunts for walkers of all abilities and at the end of your walk why not enjoy a pint of local cider in one of Devon's many charming pubs and inns.

Whatever you decide to do, you will be sure of a warm welcome in this county rich in history and tradition.
